Intelligence Analysis Course (IAC)– 12 to 23 October 2026

JEIS officially announces the Intelligence Analysis Course (IAC), delivered under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) and hosted in Athens, Greece, from 12 to 23 October 2026. The course provides essential knowledge, skills, and competencies in intelligence analysis through structured analytic methods and hands-on laboratory exercises. Participants will be trained in critical and creative thinking, cognitive biases, and diagnostic and structured analytic techniques. The programme includes a mandatory e-learning phase, followed by a ten-day residential course. The course is conducted in English, with physical presence required, and is limited to 18 participants. The course is open to eligible military personnel and mid-to-senior civil servants from EU Member States and EU institutions.

Countering Disinformation with Applied OSINT Techniques Course – 02 to 13 November 2026

Participants will be trained in disinformation analysis, social network analysis, and the application of structured techniques to effectively address disinformation challenges. AI in Intelligence Course – 02 to 13 November 2026

JEIS officially announces the “AI in Intelligence” (Pilot) Course, delivered under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) and hosted in Athens, Greece, from 02 to 13 November 2026. The course provides essential knowledge, skills, and competencies on the application of Artificial Intelligence in the intelligence cycle through structured methods and hands-on laboratory exercises. Participants will be introduced to AI fundamentals, large language models (LLMs), and key challenges such as bias and hallucinations, while gaining practical experience in AI-assisted OSINT, analysis techniques, and intelligence production. The programme includes a ten-day residential course. The course is conducted in English, with physical presence required, and is limited to 18 participants. The course is open to eligible military personnel and mid-to-senior civil servants from EU Member States, EU institutions, and agencies working in intelligence-related roles.

Open Source Intelligence Course (OSINT) – 23 November to 04 December 2026

JEIS officially announces the Open Source Intelligence Course (OSINT), delivered under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) and hosted in Athens, Greece, from 23 November to 04 December 2026. The course provides essential knowledge, skills and competencies via structured methods of collecting information from Open Sources, lab exercises and practice in various scenarios. In addition, the course provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practices among “OSINT Operators” and allow the participants to exchange their views and share best practices on related topics of OSINT. The programme includes a mandatory e-learning phase, followed by a ten-day residential course. The course is conducted in English, with physical presence required, and is limited to 18 participants. The course is open to eligible military personnel and mid-to-senior civil servants from EU Member States, EU institutions, and agencies working in intelligence-related roles.

Intelligence Standardization, Reporting and Briefing Course – 07 to 18 December 2026

JEIS officially announces the “Intelligence Standardization, Reporting and Briefing” (Pilot) Course, delivered under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) and hosted in Athens, Greece, from 07 to 18 December 2026. The course provides essential knowledge, skills and competencies for producing standardized, accurate and decision relevant intelligence products in a multinational environment through analytical writing, structured reporting formats and practical briefing exercises. Participants will be taught intelligence standardization principles, estimative language, confidence statements and sourcing conventions, while practicing the transformation of analytical input into concise written assessments and effective oral briefings for senior decision makers. The programme includes a ten-day residential course. The course is conducted in English, with physical presence required, and is limited to 18 participants. The course is open to eligible military personnel and mid-to-senior civil servants from EU Member States, EU institutions, and agencies working in intelligence-related roles.
