Military Exercise 16 (MILEX 16) was conducted from 17 to 27 May 2016 in the framework of the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
MILEX 16 exercised Hellenic OHQ in a planning Command Post Exercise (CPX) examining a possible military CSDP operation following the Standard Process. EL FHQ was established in HQ of 71st Airmobile Bde in Northern Greece.
The MILEX 16 scenario provided a challenging insight into EU Crisis Response, exposing potential fault lines between the political/military strategic/operational levels concerning objectives and end states, within an EU Comprehensive Approach framework.
