Learning Objectives

  • Raise participants basic awareness knowledge in relevant functions of OSINT.

  • Identify key terms regarding Computer Networks, Data sources and elevate basic understanding on how Internet structure works.

  • Develop the ability to utilize critical & creative thinking methodologies (skills enhancement) for application and exploitation of OSINT, and ways to decrease Bias diversity.

  • Develop the ability to analyze problems and understand the Structured Approach in order to define search strategies for answering an Intelligence Requirement & Information request.

  • Use Advanced Search techniques on Various Search Engines for discreetly research.

  • Learn a structured approach to answer an Intelligence Requirement as an OSINTER

  • Work in a real case scenario as OSINT teams.

General Information

This course is provided by the Joint European Union Intelligence School (JEIS) under the auspices of European Security and Defense College (ESDC). OSINT is a two-week course which demands physical participation because of the lab exercises and classification level requirements.

Course Participants

This training course is open to military officers (OF-1 through OF-5) and NCOs (OR-6 through OR-9) and civilian equivalents from EU Member States and EU institutions and agencies.
